April 2026 – Church Events & Announcements...
Sermon of the Month✨
Life has a way of leaving us exhausted, drained and overwhelmed. Even the strongest people reach a point where they feel they cannot take another step. This week, we dive into the "majesty of comfort." We often think empowerment means "trying harder," but Isaiah 40 tells us that God’s power never diminishes, even when ours does. God tells the prophet to speak "tenderly" to a people whose lives were falling apart, reminding us that He is never too tired or too busy to listen.
If your life feels heavy right now, don't miss this evening. We will discover how the "seeds of comfort" take root in the soil of adversity. Come and learn the art of "waiting upon the Lord" as found in Isaiah 40:29-31—not as a passive act, but as a way to exchange our exhaustion for His soaring strength. Whether you feel like you're in a valley or a storm, God is your source of renewal.
Join us to learn the art of "waiting upon the Lord" as found in Isaiah 40:29-31—not as a passive act, but as a way to exchange our exhaustion for His soaring strength. Whether you are facing a personal storm or just feeling the weight of the world, come and find rest for your soul. We will conclude the evening with a shared light meal and fellowship, providing a space to support one another in God's strength.

Welcome to April at LFCC Kalamunda! 🕊️
As we step into a new month, we are moving from the battle for our minds into a season of Spiritual Empowerment. This April, we invite you to discover what it means to live not by your own strength, but by the power of God’s Spirit. Whether you are seeking a fresh start, a sense of purpose, or simply a community of grace, there is a place for you at our table. Come as you are, and let’s experience the transforming power of the Holy Spirit together.
This month, we begin a new series on Saturday, 04 April: Spiritual Empowerment.
In a world where many feel weary, uncertain, and overwhelmed, God invites us into a life empowered not by our own strength, but by His Spirit. This series will explore how God restores, strengthens, calls, and works through His people for His purposes.
Have you ever felt like a prisoner to your past, your debts, or the expectations of others? In the ancient world, a new King would often begin his reign by clearing all debts and freeing those in "debtor's prison" as a supreme act of justice. When Jesus stood up in the synagogue and read Isaiah 61:1, He wasn't just reading poetry—He was announcing that He is the King who sets us free. He didn't just come to talk about liberty; He came to be the source of it, breaking the invisible chains of shame and heavy burdens that keep us from our true purpose.
As we look at Luke 4:18-19, we see that Jesus stops reading right at the message of God’s favour. This means we are currently living in a window of grace where God is reaching out to heal the brokenhearted and restore sight to those blinded by life's struggles. Empowerment isn't something we work for; it is a gift we receive when we realise our "spiritual debt" has been cancelled by the King.
Join us outdoors at Stirk Park as we explore what it means to live under "the time of the Lord’s favour." Empowerment begins when we realise that our spiritual, emotional, and mental debts have been cancelled by the King. After the message, we will share a light, free catered meal together—it's a wonderful opportunity to connect with a community that celebrates this new-found freedom in the fresh air of our local park.
(Note: If it rains, we will meet at our usual home, the Jack Healey Centre, at 5:00 PM)
"I'm too young." "I'm not trained." "I don't have the experience." We all have a list of reasons why we aren't the right person for the job. Jeremiah felt the same way in Jeremiah 1:5-10, but God’s response was world-changing: "Do not be afraid... for I am with you." In our series finale, we look at the incredible truth that God knew you, planned for you, and valued you long before you were even born. When you feel inadequate, remember that God has always thought of you as valuable and has a purpose in mind for you.
If God gives you a task, He will provide all you need to do it. He doesn't promise to keep us from life's storms, but He does promise to walk through them with us and rescue us. Stop focusing on your limitations and start focusing on the One who appointed you. This message is for anyone who has ever felt like an "imposter" in their own calling.
Join us for this final sermon of the series as we discover how God equips the called. If God gives you a task, He will provide all you need to do it; He doesn't promise to keep us from life's storms, but He does promise to walk through them with us. This message is for anyone who has ever felt like an "imposter" in their own calling. We look forward to seeing you there and sharing a community meal together as we celebrate our shared purpose in Him.
We conclude our month of Spiritual Empowerment with a dedicated night of Praise and Worship. There is no sermon tonight—just an intentional time to linger in God's presence and be refilled. Through our songs and our unity, we display God’s "rich variety of wisdom" to the heavenly realms as described in Ephesians 3:10.
We will begin with a short word of encouragement to fix our hearts on Him, then move into a night of Praise & Worship. As Zechariah 4:6 reminds us, it is not by our own force or strength, but by His Spirit that anything of lasting value is accomplished. Come prepared to lay down your own strength and trust in His power.
Join us for this special evening. We encourage you to please fast and pray before this event, preparing to hear God’s voice speaking directly into your heart as we enter a powerful time of encounter with the Holy Spirit.
