May 2026 – Church Events & Announcements...
Sermon of the Month✨
Start your Saturday in the beauty of nature as we gather for a relaxed Autumn Bush Walk & Fellowship at Lesmurdie Falls.
This is a wonderful opportunity to slow down, enjoy the fresh air, and connect with others in a peaceful outdoor setting. Whether you’re coming with family, friends, or on your own, it’s a great way to build community, have meaningful conversations, and simply enjoy being together.
The walk is suitable for all fitness levels, and there is no pressure to keep a certain pace—this is about fellowship as much as it is about the walk.
What to bring: comfortable walking shoes, a water bottle, and a relaxed spirit.
🌤 Weather Notice: This is an outdoor event. In case of bad weather, the bush walk will be cancelled. Please use your discretion and consider weather conditions for your own safety before attending.

Welcome to May at LFCC Kalamunda! 🕊️
This May, we begin a new series on Saturday, 02 May: The Blessing of Letting Go.
There are seasons in life where we find ourselves holding onto things we were never meant to carry—past regrets, painful experiences, missed opportunities, old identities, and even ways of thinking that no longer serve us. These things can quietly shape how we see ourselves, how we make decisions, and how we respond to life.
Over time, they can become burdens—keeping us stuck, limiting our growth, and preventing us from stepping into the fullness of what God has prepared.
Yet Scripture reveals something powerful:
There is a blessing in letting go.
Letting go is not about losing something valuable—it is about releasing what holds us back so we can receive what God is giving. It is about moving forward with clarity, living with freedom, and learning to trust God more deeply in every area of life.
Throughout this 5-part series, we will take a journey through God’s Word—learning how to release the past, recognise new beginnings, embrace transformation, renew our thinking, and ultimately trust God fully.
Wherever you are in life—whether you are carrying burdens, facing decisions, or simply seeking direction—this series speaks into real, everyday experiences and invites you into a deeper walk with God.
Philippians 3:13
“Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.”
We begin with one of the most common struggles we all face—holding onto the past.
Paul speaks from personal experience. His life included both remarkable achievements and deep regret, yet he made a deliberate decision not to allow his past to define his future. This was not about ignoring what had happened, but about choosing not to remain anchored to it.
Many of us live with the weight of what has been—mistakes we wish we could undo, opportunities we missed, or seasons that did not turn out as we hoped. These can shape our thinking, affect our confidence, and influence our decisions.
But the message of the gospel is clear: forgiveness is real, restoration is possible, and a new direction is available.
This week, we begin by learning how to release the past into God’s hands and take intentional steps forward—moving with renewed purpose, hope, and freedom.
Join us for worship, teaching, and fellowship. Prayer ministry is available, and we share a light meal afterwards—a great opportunity to connect and grow together.
Galatians 1:13
“For you have heard of my former conduct… how I persecuted the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it.”
Letting go is not only about releasing the past—it is about leaving behind the life we once lived.
Paul reflects on his former life with honesty. He does not hide from it, but neither does he remain defined by it. His encounter with Christ completely changed his direction, purpose, and identity.
This reminds us that transformation is not about small adjustments—it is about a complete shift in direction.
Many people desire change but feel tied to old patterns, habits, or ways of thinking. The past can feel familiar, even when it is no longer life-giving.
But the gospel brings a powerful truth: no past is too broken, and no life is beyond redemption.
This week, we explore what it means to release old identities and step fully into the new life God is calling us into—a life marked by purpose, clarity, and transformation.
Join us for worship, teaching, and fellowship. Prayer ministry is available, and we share a light meal afterwards—a great opportunity to connect and grow together.
2 Corinthians 10:5
“Casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.”
One of the most difficult things to let go of is not external—but internal.
The thoughts we hold onto shape how we see ourselves, how we interpret situations, and how we respond to life. Fear, doubt, and negative thinking can quietly influence our decisions and limit our growth.
Scripture describes this as a battleground—where ideas, beliefs, and assumptions compete for influence.
Yet we are not without help.
God has given us the ability, through His Spirit, to recognise these patterns and take our thoughts captive—choosing truth over fear, clarity over confusion, and faith over doubt.
This week, we focus on practical ways to let go of destructive thinking patterns and renew our minds—so we can live with greater peace, clarity, and direction.
Join us for worship, teaching, and fellowship. Prayer ministry is available, and we share a light meal afterwards—a great opportunity to connect and grow together.

Isaiah 43:18–19
“Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
As we let go of the past, we begin to make space for what God is doing now.
God spoke these words to His people during a difficult season, reminding them that even though He had done great things before, His work was not finished. In fact, what He was about to do would surpass what they had previously experienced.
Often, we become so focused on what was—whether good or painful—that we fail to recognise what is unfolding right in front of us.
Yet God is always at work.
Even in seasons that feel like a wilderness—uncertain, dry, or directionless—God is making a way. He is creating paths where none seem visible and bringing life where things feel empty.
This week, we will explore how letting go sharpens our spiritual awareness—helping us to recognise new opportunities, discern God’s direction, and step forward with confidence into what He is doing.
Join us for worship, teaching, and fellowship. Prayer ministry is available, and we share a light meal afterwards—a great opportunity to connect and grow together.

Week 5: Trusting God Fully
Psalm 34:8
“Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!”
As we come to the final part of the series, everything leads to one central truth—trusting God.
Letting go ultimately brings us to a place where we release control and place our confidence in God’s character, His goodness, and His faithfulness.
This can feel challenging, especially when life is uncertain or when we do not have all the answers. Yet the invitation here is deeply personal—to “taste and see,” to experience for ourselves that God is good.
Trust is not built in theory—it grows through experience.
As we take steps of faith, we begin to see that God is present, that He is working, and that He is faithful in every season.
This final week brings the journey together—moving from letting go into a life marked by peace, confidence, and a deep, personal trust in God.
Join us for worship, teaching, and fellowship. Prayer ministry is available, and we share a light meal afterwards—a great opportunity to connect and grow together.
